Title – Account Manager

Base – £35,000-£40,000 + benefits

OTE – £65,000

Start date – As soon as Possible

Job Summary:  

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Account Manager to join our amazing team! We need someone who’s positive, enthusiastic, and has a solid background in the IT services market.

In this role, you’ll help our clients invest in the right technology to benefit their businesses. You’ll also be responsible for keeping our clients happy, generating new revenue, and building real relationships. This means attending regular client meetings, reviewing their accounts and IT environments, and translating their needs into simple, actionable plans.

Even though we’ve only been around for two years, we’ve already grown to serve over 50 clients. Now, we’re looking to build a strong account management team with the help of our experienced Commercial Director.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong friendly relationship with all your accounts, while acting as a key point of contact for any queries.  
  • Analyse customers current and future needs and suggest upgrades or additional services to meet their requirements 
  • Work to personal targets based on sales, client retention and referrals. 
  • Maintain regular proactive contact with existing customers with a view to increasing business and maintaining relationships. 
  • Meet, engage and interact with decision makers at a senior level to enhance relationships and identify opportunity. 
  • Cross-selling and up-selling services and solutions to existing accounts 
  • Maintain and update records in our CRM system accurately. 
  • Provide Managers with reports or account information as required. 
  • Be willing to listen to and support colleagues and team members  
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the service offerings of the company 
  • Complete and maintain forecast of all accounts

Experience:

Account Managers with over 2 years of experience in IT Services or Managed Service Provider, with a proven ability to build relationships, spot and develop upon opportunities, and consistently hit sales target. 

Skills, Qualities and Knowledge 

Essential: 

  • 2 + years Account Management experience selling IT services and/or solutions  
  • Excellent verbal, written communication & presentation skills 
  • Experience of cross-selling and up selling  
  • Meet and exceed targets in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and genuine relationships with people at different levels  
  • Self-starter, proactive personality 
  • Excellent listening skills, polite, confident and friendly manner. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Positive attitude and enthusiastic  
  • Use of a CRM system to manage the sales cycle

Beneficial: 

  • Knowledge and experience selling/advising : Cloud Solutions, Cyber Security, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Infrastructure Networks, Server Virtualisation. 
  • Halo PSA experience  
  • Further experience in the IT service industry
